STORY

MODUS started as a woodwork facility next to Queenstown Road in London. Founded in 2012 by Ed Maris, Wave Supplies grew into a sound system design and manufacturing business working across the UK and Europe.

With more restrictions to volume levels spreading across London’s music venues, Ed began to scale down large designs into more compact systems. 2019 saw the formation of BONSAI AUDIO to deliver small-format sound systems to studios and intimate commercial spaces.

From a love materials and utility-led design, MODUS reaches across design disciplines, releasing LINA CBD vaporisers in 2018 and HELLASPEED E-bike components in 2021.

STUDIO

With a London studio built specifically for metalwork, electronic fabrication and assembly, MODUS is uniquely placed to work with collaborators to deliver rapid prototypes and new product visions.

PARTNERS

In London MODUS has worked alongside Casio G-Shock, KUKI, Soho House and New Gen E-bikes across a wide variety of design briefs and installations
